Welcome

Now this isn’t a new song - in fact it’s taken from an album called ‘Welcome To The Best Years Of Your Life’, which was released in 2007. The album belongs to a man named Ben Westbeech who has become well known (to most of you) after the incredibly well received DJ Die & Interface track; Bright Lights. I’ve known about him for quite a while, regard this album as a modern day day classic and have been listening to it for the first time in ages today. He has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard and can genuinely sing on ANY beat.

1998

Here is a new funky house track from Taras van de Voorde. No vocals, but they’re not always needed when the music is this good. Massive tune that would get any dancefloor smiling.

Night Air

Please compose yourself before listening to this. Back in 2008 I heard a track called Spirits by a man named Jamie Woon and fell in love with him immediately - since then I have considered him to be one of the best singers alive. This year he teamed up with Burial and has produced this track, Night Air, which (for me) is the best song of 2010 by quite a long way. A snippet was released about a month ago, but you can now hear the track in full below. Trust me; this is breath-taking.

Ever Or Not

Some enchanting House music taken from John Roberts’ debut album, Glass Eights, which was released October 11th on the German label, Dial. Great LP’s are few and far between in House, but when you find one like this; there is not much better. Most people won’t really ‘get’ the sound, but any music lover should embrace this work of art and appreciate how much thought has gone into making the music. Could very well end up being one of my favourites of 2010.
