Verb T, Pitch 92 & TrueMendous - Cold Case

Verb T & Pitch 92 dropped their new album last week and as expected from these two, it bangs from start to finish. The track that really caught my attention was 'Cold Case', which features upcoming rapper TrueMendous, who delivers one of the most fearsome verses I've heard for quite some time... One to watch for 2020. Get your copy of the album here.

Skrillex, Boys Noize & Ty Dolla $ign - Midnight Hour

A mad collaboration, but one that I'm fully here for... Skrillex and Boys Noize team up with Ty Dolla $ign for a club-ready house track. The vulnerability in Ty's singing voice, along with the typically upfront and unapologetic production by Skrillex and Boys Noize makes for a fascinating vibe. Stream and download here.

Common - Leaders (Crib Love) (Feat. A-Trak)

Common, one of the greatest MC's of all-time, returns with his latest album 'Let Love', which features Daniel Caesar, Jill Scott, Leon Bridges, BJ Chicago Kid and more. 'Leaders' featuring production from A-Trak reminds me of all-time classic Common, which can only be a good thing... you can imagine this record fitting perfectly onto 'Be'. Time to listen to this on repeat for the next few weeks - buy and stream here.

Samm Henshaw - The World Is Mine

Sampling the classic 'Made You Look' by NaS and 'Apache (Jump On It)' by The Sugarhill Gang, here's the new single from UK singer/songwriter Samm Henshaw, who continues to go from strength to strength. The definition of a class act - amazing that we have artists like this coming through in 2019. Get your copy here.

Sampa The Great - Freedom

Very happy to see Sampa The Great sign with Ninja Tune... One of the most exciting artists to emerge from the past few years and one of the greatest independant labels of this generation can only mean great things. 'Freedom' is my favourite track the three tracks she has released with the UK-based imprint, which is taken from the full album and drops here on September 13th.

Wretch 32 - Mummy's Boy

Wretch 32 is without doubt one of the best lyricists in the UK - he has a unique ability to deliver thought provoking bar after after, which makes you feel a certain way when listening to his records. Mummy's Boy is no different and is probably one of my favourite Wretch releases for some time and has me very excited for his forthcoming album... ๐Ÿ™Œ

Kano - Got My Brandy, Got My Beats (Feat. Lil Silva)

3 years since he dropped 'Made In The Manor', Kano returned this week with his latest full length album, 'Hoodies All Summer'. One of the finest rappers the UK has ever produced, truly on top of his game for the whole LP, delivering a rollercoaster of emotions and a true showcase of Kano's growth as an artist over the past 15 years. Very difficult to pick out a favourite song from the record, but I keep going back to this one... A pioneer.
