Debbie - Rain

Once every so often, an artist comes along who just feels really special - Debbie is one of those people. Ever since featuring on the last Stormzy album back in 2022, she's someone who I've been following and keeping track of their journey. This new single 'Rain' feels like she's really started to find her sound and I can tell that this will be a huge year for Debbie. Can't get this one out of my head. LOVE! Stream here.

Knevrm!nd - Thoughts

Unmistakable vibes from Karizma (aka Kaytronik) under his Kneverm!nd alias... Skippy drums, deep pads, a beautiful bassline and a masterclass in vocal (MJ?!) sampling. One of the best to ever do it. Support on Bandcamp here.

HYPNOSIS THERAPY - SEOUL HOUSE (Feat. 이윤정)

Hypnosis Theraphy are a South Korean duo, whose music I came across courtesy of Derrick Gee. Their new album 'PSILOCYBIN' is one of the best things I've listened to this year - beautifully chaotic, it manages to move between deep house, footwork, drum & bass, rock, and more, all while retaining a style and a vibe, which is completely unique and quite simply perfect. This is a must listen - check it out here.

The Blessed Madonna, JOY (Anonymous) & Danielle Ponder - Carry Me Higher

Ever since The Blessed Madonna dropped it in her Boiler Room in Bali a few months ago, it's safe to say that 'Carry Me Higher' has been one of the most-wanted IDs around. A seriously uplifting and euphoric moment, which you can hear working on so many dancefloors around the world. TBM, Joy (Anonymous) and Danielle Ponder simply got everything right with this one.

Nic Fanciulli & Calussa - Vente

After two strong releases in a row on Defected, Nic Fanciulli returns with Miami duo Calussa for a super catchy latin-inspired anthem. A lot of hype on this one since his Ibiza set with Butch, and you can see why... makes a cold, wet winter's day feel like summer. Check it out here.

Kitty Amor - Solitude (Feat. Nathan Nicholson)

One of the hottest names in the Afro House world, Kitty Amor launches her brand new label 'Mahaba' with this stunning single entitled 'Solitude'. This track premiered in the 'Who Is Kitty Amor' documentary, and has been stuck in my head ever since... those drums & that rumbling bassline are hypnotising. Support here.

Oden & Fatzo & THEOS - Set You Free (Feat. Queen Rose)

'Set You Free' is my favourite track from the new EP from Oden & Fatzo and THEOS on Defected, which features Detroit artist Queen Rose on vocal duties. Those chord stabs are very reminiscent of 2013 NY Stomp vibes, but the whole track feels very fresh & unique for 2023... All of the right deep house elements, working perfectly together. Eli Escobar - Something Inside Of Me

Eli Escobar is one of New York's finest DJs, and has constantly been produced great (deep) house over the past 10 years or so. His latest album 'The Beach Album' is brilliant, but this song specifically really stands out... Track 16 on the album, it's the perfect meeting of deep house and gospel. Makes my body move like crazy every time I hear it. Support it here.

Peven Everett & Deetron - Evermore

Sometimes you see two names written next to one another, and you just know it's going to be good... Peven Everett and Deetron are two of those people. Both legends within the deep house scene, it's amazing to see them collaborating on original music in 2023. This one will no doubt be a future classic - get your copy and support here.

Dom Dolla - Saving Up

"Don't fix it, if it ain't broken?" Well, that'd be boring, right? Diverting away from his much-loved sound that has made him one of the hottest names in dance music over the past 8 years, it's very refreshing and exciting to see Dom Dolla switch it up for his latest release. Premiered in his set for Selected earlier this year, it's been a hotly anticipated ID in all of his sets. French touch vibes, but make it 2023.
