Mahalia - Mardy Bum (Acoustic Video)

Directed by Kaz Ove, here is a lovely video portrait of 13-year old Mahalia in the studio with her family recording a stripped back acoustic performance of her cover of 'Mardy Bum' by Arctic Monkeys. A sick rendition, and hopefully it's just the start for this incredibly talented singer/songwriter - debut EP on the way.

Introduced to most of the world by Ed Sheeran on Twitter last night, here is 13-year old Mahalia's stunning acoustic cover of 'Mardy Bum' by Arctic Monkeys. Considering her tender age, the folk/soul singer has a connection with the music and a vocal tone way beyond her years. Look out for more from this girl in 2012. Etta Bond - Yellow Bricked Lego House (Ed Sheeran x Arctic Monkeys) (Soul Culture TV)

Soul Culture TV recently caught up with London-born singer/songwriter Etta Bond, who is signed to Labrinth's Odd Child production label and features on Wretch 32's forthcoming single 'Forgiveness'. During the acoustic performance she did a mash-up of Ed Sheeran's 'Lego House' and 'Old Yellow Bricks' by the Arctic Monkeys - I think it's safe to say she smashed it. Onwards and upwards for one of the most exciting talents to emerge from 2011.

Arctic Monkeys - The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala

My favourite track off the 4th studio album from the Arctic Monkeys, Suck It See, which will be available on June 6th. Doubt they will ever reach the Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not days, but this was still a very enjoyable listen.
