Artful - Could Just Be The Bassline (Feat. Kal Lavelle) (Maximus Baxter Remix)

After bringing you all of the details for Mark Hill's 'Could Just Be The Bassline' competition earlier today, here is one of the first entries from young electronic producer Maximus Baxter. MB takes the original and flips it on his head by adding his own unique uptempo Dubstep style to create a version that will be very hard to beat for all the other competitors. Mark Hill is currently running a remix competition for anyone who fancies a crack at it. There is a link to download the Vocals and Stems on his facebook page HERE. Deadline will be 1st Feb for any remixes and people need to send them to his Soundcloud drop box. Winner and the runners up have a chance to get their mixes released and promoted as an EP and also the winner will get a chance to remix the next single, and if appropriate spend a day with him in the studio working on it. Artful Mark - Could Just Be The Bassline Pt. 2 (Feat. Kal Lavelle)

Many of you will have heard this a few months ago with the vocals of Ed Sheeran on it, but due to problems with the labels, Mark Hill (the original Artful Dodger) has had to draft in Ed's current support act to re-vocal the track. I didn't think that anyone would be able to do it to the level that Ed did, but Kal's soothing Irish tone sounds perfect over the groovy laid back production. Beautiful stuff.
