My favourite track from the upcoming remix album by Jamie XX, which sees him take the original sessions from Gil-Scott Heron’s latest album and put his own electronic twist on each and every track. A nice idea, executed well.

The 3rd remix off the upcoming remix album from Jamie XX, which will see him re-imaging Gil Scott-Heron’s 2010 album, I’m New Here. Have a feeling that this release will be a special moment.

In February 2010, Gil Scott-Heron released I’m New Here, his first album in thirteen years. In August 2009, as a member and producer of The xx, Jamie xx released his debut album XX. The album We’re New Here sees Jamie xx remixing thirteen tracks from the original I’m New Here album sessions. Here is the latest piece to come from it - I have so much love for both of these men. Out February 21st.

Jamie XX has been a busy fella as of late, and here he is remixing Adele’s spectacular new single, Rolling In The Deep. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Gil-Scott remix, but this is sick.
