Justin Timberlake is back with his first single in 6 years, which is produced by Timbaland and features Jay-Z. Too good.
After Beyoncé returned with a stunning GQ shoot earlier in the week, Destiny's Child have now unveiled their first single in 8 years, which is an understated groover produced by Mr. Pharrell Williams. Yes, yes and YES!
An OutKast album may not be in the works yet, but a Big Boi feature on a Frank Ocean tune that André originally featured on is probably the next best thing. Cool remix.
A wonderfully refreshing EP from upcoming singer/songwriter Jacob Banks, which features 8 tracks and is available for free download from HERE. His voice reminds of a cross between Michael Kiwanuka & Josh Kumra, with a unique style of his own that pops out on every single track. This is the best thing I've heard so far this year, and will take some beating for some time, I think. Too good.
Kyra teams up with producer Tré Jean Marie (Smiler, Top Of The World) for her new single, which keeps with the upbeat R&B feel of her debut and is scheduled for release January 21st.
Harley Alexander-Sule, one half of UK Hip-Hop/Pop duo Rizzle Kicks, with a truly special cover of Ray Charles' iconic single 'Georgia On My Mind'. Anyone who doubts the talent that these two possess needs to have a serious listen to their back catalogue and ready yourself for their forthcoming sophmore album, trust me.
Not necessarily the 100 BEST songs of 2012, but here is The House Of Coxhead's 100 favourite songs of 2012. I tried to make the list as diverse as possible, but it was hard to get it down to 100 when my 2012 playlist has 8,000+ songs. Probably missed out a couple of glaring mistakes, but this is a fair representation of what has stood out for me over the past 12 months. Let me know what would have made your list, and I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!
Some nostalgic visuals for my favourite track from Jessie Ware's stunning debut album 'Devotion'. Bashmore smashed it with this one.
