Hip-Hop Classic #39: The Notorious B.I.G. - Juicy (Chosen by Chris Ramsey)

'Juicy' is the debut solo single from The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut album 'Ready To Die', which was released in 1994 on Bad Boy Records. The track was produced by Poke of Trackmasters & P. Diddy, with the melody being sampled from Mtume's 'Juicy Fruit'. It reached #3 in the US Hot Rap Singles and peaked at #27 in the US Billborad Hot 100 Chart, but many Hip-Hop fans believe it to be one of the greatest rap songs of all-time, and many would have trouble arguing otherwise.

Hip-Hop Classic #21: The Notorious B.I.G. - Warning (Chosen by Mikill Pane)

'Warning' is a track taken from The Notorious B.I.G.'s critically acclaimed debut album, Ready To Die, which was released in 1994 on Bad Boy Records. The track was produced by Easy Mo Bee, who was the person that handled most of the production on the album, along with The Hitmen - it features a sample of the brilliant 'Walk On By' by Isaac Hayes.

Hip-Hop Classic #12: Craig Mack - Flava In Ya Ear (Bad Boy Remix) (Chosen by Zeon Mumbles)

'Flava In Ya Ear' is the lead single from Craig Mack's debut album, Project Funk da World, which was released in 1994 on Bad Boy Records. This remix of the single was the breakout appearance for The Notorious B.I.G., as well as one of the first solo appearances by Busta Rhymes after leaving Leaders Of The New School. The album was the second release on Bad Boy Records, following Biggie's all-time classic 'Ready To Die' by one week - propelled by the success of this (original) Platinum-selling single, 'Project Funk Da World' reached Gold status in 1995.
