Released on Dim Mak today, Datsik's latest long play Vitamin D is one that's likely to divide opinion severely - it's already prompted comments as hilarious as "did you get into bed with Skrillex?" - but there are a few gems to be found on the record, this track included. Entitled "Syndrome", it's a orchestra-sampling piece of madness that's full of all the yawning bass and synth stuff that'll smash up crowds wherever it's dropped. (In some places, Datsik sounds like he has, rather confusingly, sampled that thing that Tubes from Soccer AM does with his cheek). Following his 5 minutes of fame on X Factor 2010, Paije Richardson has been hard at work on his forthcoming debut album over the past 12 months, and has just released the lead single from it, entitled 'Just Like Yesterday'. The track has a very Northern Soul feel to it, and will be released later this year on Pledge Music, with production being handled by Jim & Rob Homes. This is very sick.
