My favourite track off Tyga’s new mixtape, Black Thoughts Vol. 2. Brilliant use of Adele’s smash hit, Someone Like You. Download the mixtape HERE.

Another Phonte related post, but this time it’s a feature for the new single from rapper/producer Focus. This guy never disappoints, whether it be singing or rapping. Has that classic Little Brother sound to it.
Monday, May 2, 2011 at 7:03PM Out of the blue, here is a new video for one of my favourite tracks from The Foreign Exchange’s 3rd studio album, Authenticity. Phonte and Nicolay never disappoint with anything that they release, and this is no exception. Amazing stuff.

Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:50PM Some cool visuals for Wiley’s new Ed Sheeran featuring track, which were shot in Kingston, Jamaica. He is an idiot, but makes brilliant music when he wants to. Spotted over @ Soul Culture.

The other day I brought you the first of two Dubstep remixes for Ed Sheeran’s debut single, The A-Team. Here is the second, which is from the production team, True Tiger, who continue to smash it with everything they release at the minute. A lot more mellow than their usual sound this is another example of a remix being done correctly and with a lot of thought, for an artist who knows their music and knows how to put together a stunning EP. Onwards and upwards for both parties in 2011.

New single from Edo G’s upcoming album, A Face In The Crowd, which will have features from Bishop Lamont, M1 & Chali 2na. Great production as always from Preemo, but Edo has so much lyrical prowess on the mic.

Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 7:15PM Time for another cover by David Stewart - this week he has chosen to take on one of Phil Collins’ all-time greatest hits, and I’m glad to say that he’s smashed it once again. So much talent.

Here are two tracks from a stunning new album, Charlie Hearnshaw Gets Peng! Mr. Hearnshaw is an extremely talented musician who plays the Clarinet, Basset Clarinet and Alto Sax. He studied classical clarinet, composition and conducting at Dartington College of Arts during the seventies, followed by further clarinet studies in Paris before going on to work with many top jazz musicians from the UK and abroad including Don Weller, Pete Jacobson, Andy Sheppard, Kathy Stobart, Alan Barnes and the late great Slim Gaillard. This new release is a mixture of Jazz and House, creating the most perfect album for summer, and beyond. Who needs vocals when you have instruments that make sounds like this? Timeless music that I will still be listening to in 30/40/50 years time.
