James Brown lives on.
This is a group that isn’t worried about racial or generational boundaries – the lead singer is a 60-year-old bluesman; some of the players are barely out of college; and the founder, bass guitarist Andy Noble, has run a thriving rare record store in Milwaukee for years. But it all comes together because everybody clearly loves and respects late-1960s/early-1970s funk and soul.
Another great album that me, my mum and dad would all love. Rare quality these days.

A truly spectacular song.
One of the greatest artists of all time and one of the original music pioneers has just thrown everything up in the air for when it comes to picking an album of the year in 2010. This man has been ahead of his time for his entire career, and this album is no exception. Who would have ever thought you would hear P!nk and John Legend on a record together for Herbie Hancock? I know I didn’t.
This album is a MUST HAVE!

Cannot WAIT for this album.
Love The Foreign Exchange and love Zo!
“The official single for Zo’s ‘SunStorm’ album doesn’t drop for a few more weeks, but we at +FE Music decided to give a little something to hold you over until then. Here’s “Greatest Weapon Of All Time” featuring our good friend Sy Smith, also taken from the ‘SunStorm’ LP which drops 7/27. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!”

Since the start of the year we’ve been hearing about a new Bilal album finally nearing release via Plug Research. While we don’t have the official first single yet, we do have this Nottz produced song “Free” (not on the album). Snippets of the song were floating around in the past, but here is the full, mixed, and mastered version of the track. Bilal’s first official album in 9 years, Airtight’s Revenge, will be out September 14th via Plug Research.
H’exciting!
