Wasn't a huge fan of A$AP Rocky when he first came onto the scene, and I'm still not sold about his music on record, but I am warming to him, and this is a dope performance of 'Goldie' with The Roots on Jimmy Fallon. 'Long Live A$AP' in stores soon.

Toronto-based duo Zeds Dead come through with a free download of their Dubstep remix of 'Dear God 2.0', which featured on The Roots' 2010 release 'How I Got Over'. Still my favourite track from the album, and this remix is nothing short of spectacular. Love.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 7:04PM Backed by The Roots, J. Cole performs one of my favourite tracks and what should have been the lead single from his debut album, live on the Jimmy Fallon show. A dope performance, a very cool dude.

Two of my favourite tracks from the first conceptually-based album by The Roots. Undun quickly reaffirms the creativity of the outfit that are notorious for pushing the envelope. Through the use of emotives and Redford’s internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out 'on the corner'. Utilising a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented–postmortem–and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun. You need to listen to this in full, it's a masterpiece, from one of the greatest groups of all-time. Available December 6th.

Here is the latest piece from The Roots' forthcoming thirteenth studio album, Undun, which features Phonte & Dice Raw. This will be the their first concept album and is set to be released on December 6th - pre-order HERE. December is going to be a good month for Hip-Hop.

Betty Wright joins forces with The Roots for her first album in 10 years, Betty Wright: The Movie. The album serves up 14 earth, funk-drenched soul anthems, all of which were co-written by Wright and co-produced by Wright, Ahimir "?uestloves" Thompson of The Roots and Angelo Morris. The album features guest performances by Lil Wayne, Joss Stone and Lenny Williams, but it's this Snopp Dogg featuring jam that stands out for me. A big release, which will be available on November 15th.
