Snippets of two of my favourite tracks from Ed Sheeran's forthcoming debut album, +. I never listen to previews because I like to listen to albums in full, but for those who do, you can catch those two songs below and then listen to three more snippets of the album in full on Ed's official SoundCloud player at the bottom. Review coming soon.
SoundCloud seems to be playing up, so below are the snippets for Small Bump, Grade 8 & Wake Me Up:

Fresh back from his vacation with SBTV's Jamal Edwards, Ed will begin playing a string of tour dates supporting the new single's release, and onward to the album. Banquet Records in Kingston have both an in store for under-18s, and a full gig (over 18s) in the evening at New Slang, and both are free if you buy the album "+" from them. Details are here.

Master Shortie's new single, which features the vocals of Ed Sheeran on the hook/chorus. Massive tune that I expect to do very well when it's released. Shout out to Mistajam, again.

Whilst down at the Mad Ferret gig in Preston a couple of weeks ago, my sister took her camera to get some shots of Ed & Kal. She has now edited the photos, and I think the results are brilliant - having such a small intimate venue with very little lighting creates the opportunity to capture moments like this. Above is my favourite, but you can check out the whole set HERE, and follow Emily on Twitter HERE.

Here is the True Tiger remix of Ed Sheeran's new single, which has just been given its world premiere on Mistajam's 1Xtra show. Ed told me that he had hooked up with the True Tiger boys again and drafted in two Grime heavyweights in Scru & Dot for another monstrous remix that was as good as (if not better than) the one that Devlin & Wretch brought to the table - both are massive. Check it out below, along with a little chat Jam had with Ed about 3 tracks that inspired him to start writing music. Pre-Order the single HERE!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day/night with my lovely friends Ed & Kal on the last leg of their Summer Tour in Preston. I've seen Ed play countless gigs over the past 2 years, but last night was really special, seeing him go back to the 150 (ish) capacity venue days and being able to connect with every single person at the gig definitely meant a lot to him - also, they were the most respectful crowd I've ever seen him play to, being completely silent on the slow songs and going nuts when they were asked to. Anyway, on my way up to the venue I was trying to think of the best possible way to celebrate the success of the tour, and this was it; a competition where you get the chance to win a signed t-shirt by both of them from their last gig together (not EVER, don't worry).
COMPETITION CLOSED!
There were over 600 entries overall, but only 11 people got the answer correct to the question below:
How many Little Martin Guitars does Ed own?
About 95% of the people who entered said 2, Lloyd and Nigel, which is correct - but he has two more,
which makes the answer 4 (proof below for those who don't believe me!)
Received some lovely e-mails over the past week or so, and if I had a t-shirt to give everyone then I would, but there are only 3 available, and the names of the 3 winners are as follows:
1st: Toni Harris - @ShakeThatToad
2nd: Mike Roskell @roskellmike
3rd: Sofie Hawker - @sofiehawker95
Could you 3 please e-mail me back with your full name and address, and I'll get the t-shirts out to you in the next few days:
tjc89209@hotmail.co.uk
Big love to everyone who entered, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for another competition sooner, rather than later.
Also, there is some exclusive stuff coming up on my blog in the next month, so be sure to stay tuned...
Be good,
