'Soon' is one of the standout tracks from Newton Faulkner's third and highly anticipated studio album 'Write It On Your Skin', which was released yesterday. Although his debut was a ground-breaking release, his sophmore album didn't hit the spot, but this one sees the Surrey-born singer/songwriter back to his best, in all departments. Get your copy HERE, and expect yourself to be singing along to the whole album after a couple of listens...
'Pick It Up' is my favourite track from Danish-based duo Cool Million's new album 'III', which is the latest release on Sedsoul. Their mission is to "take soul back to the future", and with vocalists such as Kenny Thomas, Peggi Blu & Bashiyra, backed by funky soulful production, they are doing just that right now. Get your copy HERE, and enjoy one of the best albums of 2012 so far.
Deliciously relaxed and funky vibes from a producer whose legendary status is unquestionable in my opinion. This song paints an elaborate picture of a sun drenched beach full of scantily clad and shapely women in my mind, thus, thoroughly distracting me from the fact that this summer I'm more likely to be washed away than be bathing in sunshine. So thanks for that Mr. Bias. Nice one.
Co-written and produced by Pharrell, here is the second track to surface from Frank Ocean's highly anticipated debut album 'Channel Orange', which is set to drop July 17th. Very excited to hear it in full now - this is such a cool vibe.
After shooting into the spotlight thanks to his feature on Chase & Status' hit single 'Let You Go' back in 2010, the incredibly talented Mali has been hard at work on his debut album over the past 2 years. The young singer/songwriter has a voice way beyond his years and this cover of Bob Marley's classic 'Redemption Song' shows exactly why so many people are excited for his future. Massive.
The refreshingly talented and beautiful Kyra performs an acoustic version of her debut single 'Good Love' for Dropout UK, which features a verse from upcoming rapper Cashtastic. Cool performance of a very dope song.
