With the likes of Deadmau5, Rihanna, Drake, Example, Knife Party & Calvin Harris topping the bill at this year's Barclaycard Wireless Festival, it was already set to be one of the biggest weekends this Summer, but today the London-based event have unleashed another batch of massive acts onto their line-up. The Weeknd, Labrinth and Clement Marfo & The Frontline are the ones that stand out for me, but Childish Gambino, Modestep, Gemini, Jaguar Skills, Dot Rotten, Delilah, Chiddy Bang & Theophilus London all deserve a mention. Modestep, Gemini, Jaguar Skills and Childish Gambino join a sizzling line up on Friday 6 July, headlined by Grammy-nominated deadmau5. Since hitting the scene in March last year with the release of his mixtape debut House of Balloons, Canadian producer and recording artist The Weeknd has been causing a stir, leading the charge in an idiosyncratic new cut of R&B. British singer-songwriter Delilah is one of the hottest new names in UK Music. Her first EP ‘GO’ was released in September last year, spawning the track of the same name, which was described by Chaka Khan as ‘genius’. Trinidad-born, Brooklyn-based Theophilus London is one of the new breeds of rapper, a series of hyped up mixtapes followed by a well-received EP have earned him widespread buzz and a spot on the Barclaycard Wireless Festival bill.
