Ta-Ku - Dilla Lives On (Day 1)

Ta-Ku uploaded this beat to his soundcloud today with the message that he will be making a beat a day for 50 days in tribute to one of his biggest influences; J Dilla. A sick beat, and an amazing idea. The greatest there ever was.

Amerigo Gazaway - Beanie Weather x Savcloud - Night Before

Sick of the same old Christmas songs...? Well, A Very Busted Christmas: Season 2 is just for you. Following the success of their first Christmas album last Winter, Cold Busted are back with Volume 2, which is set for release on November 30th. The album is basically all the classic festive songs reinvented by the cream of the crop in Trip-Hop/Funk/Downtempo music - below are two of my favourite additions to the compilation. So cool, so fresh.

Random Impulse - Put It On My Card (Remix) (Feat. Ed Sheeran, Dot Rotten & Bluey Robinson)

Ed Sheeran, Dot Rotten & Bluey Robinson all feature on my favourite track from Random Impulse's new EP, No Sleep For Winners, which was released on iTunes today. On A Roll has rightfully been getting support from all corners over the past few weeks, and hopefully this EP is going to open lots of doors for one of the most talented unsigned artists in the UK right now. Pick up your copy HERE - debut album on the way...

Statik Selektah provided us with a hot blend earlier in the week, but today the legendary DJ Premier has uploaded his tribute mix to Heavy D, who passed away on November 8th at the age of 44 after collapsing outside his house in Beverly Hills. This is the perfect mix for all Heavy's fans from back in the day and for those who don't know his back catalogue or the influence he had on Hip-Hop as we know it today. Hit the jump to hear the mix - R.I.P. Dwight Arrington Myers.
