Example tops this week's Cool Cuts Chart

Example's new single, and the third to come from his number 1 album Playing In The Shadows, is currently sitting at the top of the Cool Cuts Chart. For those of you who don't know, this is the leading tastemaker Dance chart which is compiled from reactions from tastemaker DJs and the Cool Cuts Panel (Club & Radio DJ feedback and data collected from blogs, dance websites online and retail stores and distributors). Midnight Run is only out on December 4th and is yet to make it onto any radio playlists, but this is a solid start, and it seems as though Example could well be on course for his third consecutive number one single. Professor Green, Skream & Dirty South all find themselves in the top 5 this week too. Hit the jump to see the top 10.

Junior Gong took to his SoundCloud last night to post the lead single from his fourth solo album, which is currently untitled. A very dope Dancehall track from my favourite Marley son - he never disappoints.

Knife Party - Tournequit

Here is a new track from Knife Party, better known as Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen or 2/3 of Pendulum, who are currently working on readying the release of their debut EP, 100% No Modern Talking. Skrillex influenced Electro madness.

Labrinth - Earthquake (Feat. Tinie Tempah) (Video)

With a title like Earthquake, the video for Labrinth's second single always had the potential to be big, but I never expected it to be this good. They went all out with the graphics, animation and cinematography, and it's without doubt one of the best videos I've seen this year. Enjoy and pre-order the EP HERE.

Benjamin Francis Leftwich - Pick Up Truck (Kings Of Leon Cover)

Benjamin Francis Leftwich took to his offical site yesterday and let go of a five track freEP, which contains five covers of songs that mean a lot to him - he explains:

"As you may know I am a fan of covering songs by artists I love. If you have come to see me on any of my October tour dates you will have seen and heard I have been playing ‘Atlantic City’ by Bruce Springsteen, a song I think is amazing by an artist I very much look up to. So, I have put together a little EP with my take on 5 songs I am really fond of."

Below is my favourite cover, which is a stripped back interpretation of the closing track on the Kings Of Leon's 2010 release, Come Around Sundown. All you need to do to get the EP is go HERE, fill in your details and then download for free. So much talent.

Jay Electronica - Call Of Duty (MW3) (Feat. Mobb Deep)

Jay Electronica delayed the release of this track in order to get the infamous Mobb Deep to enlist some Modern Warfare on it for him. Worth the wait? I think so. Super excited to see him perform in 2 weeks alongside Jamie XX. His album is going to a problem when it drops, whenever that may be...
