Justice - Cannon x Newlands

Two new tracks from Justice's long overdue sophmore album, Audio Video Disco, which is set to be released October 24th on Ed Banger. Didn't like the lead single, not a huge fan of Cannon, but Newlands is pretty damn amazing. Pre-order on iTunes HERE.

Pixie Lott - What Do You Take Me For (Feat. Pusha T) (eSQUIRE Remix)

A very commercially friendly, but pretty cool remix of Pixie Lott's second single from her upcoming sophmore album, Young Foolish Happy. One for all the DJs who are playing student nights over the next few months. Single is out November 7th.

Greg Douglas - Crutches & Straws

A lovely new Drum & Bass mix from Bedfordshire-based Greg Douglas. Mixing could do with a bit of touching up in a few places, but the majority of it is very tight and the tracklist is flawless. Listen/download in the SoundCloud player below, catch the tracklist after the jump and follow him on Twitter HERE. You would be silly to not want this on your iPod.

Massive Attack vs. Burial - Four Walls

One of the highly anticipated Massive Attack & Burial collaborations. Basically, Four Walls/Paradise Circus are two Burial mixes of previously unreleased Massive Attack material - at around 12 minutes each, both pieces have been given the time and space to evolve into something really unique and special. Granted it's slightly boring in parts, but the vocal is hauntingly beautiful and Burial's incredibly thoughtful production shines through. Pre-order a limited edition vinyl HERE - only 1000 copies available worldwide. Nothing about this is ordinary.

Classic Hip-Hop Samples (Vol. 1)

Here is the first post in a brand new series, entitled Classic Hip-Hop Samples, which as the title suggests, will aim to introduce you to the incredible samples used in some of the greatest Hip-Hop tracks of all-time. Many people believe that sampling is just a form of copying and shows a lack of imagination, but when you listen to where these samples have come from, you will then realise it's completely the opposite - all of the producers listed have taken songs from a wide variety of genres, some well-known/some totally obscure, used a small part and reinvented them to make a totally new, relevant and fresh sound. 5 Hip-Hop classics every Monday - this week includes Mobb Deep, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan & Jay-Z. Hope you enjoy it, and hope you learn something.
