After the release of their new self-titled EP, the Star One boys have put their ever funky 2-Step Garage twist on Labrinth's second single from his forthcoming debut album. Not a huge fan of the original, but this and the Eyes remix are both massive. Pre-order the EP HERE.
Here are my two favourite tracks from People Under The Stairs' eighth studio album, Highlighter, which was released last week on Piecelock 70. The LA based duo have never been the greatest rappers in the world, but they both have a unique flow and the production is always on point, which makes for an incredibly raw and old skool Hip-Hop sound - I will always love these guys. Get your copy HERE.
To celebrate the success of his debut album, Urban Artist Soap has created this incredibly sick potrait for Ed Sheeran. You can find him on Twitter HERE, and check out more of his stuff on YouTube and his official site - so much talent.
After the huge success of Elzhi's stunning Illmatic tribute album, Fat Beats have decided to release the instrumentals of Will Sessions incredible live production. You can grab the special edition LP HERE - something every Hip-Hop head should own.
Here is Ed Sheeran, on a boat, with a lovely acoustic performance of the third single from his number one debut album, +. Hopefully this will bring him his first number one single - it deserves to.
Another track that was premiered on Mistajam tonight is Emeli Sandé's new single, Daddy, which is the follow up to Heaven and the second single from her forthcoming debut album, Our Version Of Events. This is amazing, as is she - not much else needs to be said, just listen.
Premiered tonight on Mistajam's show, here is the second piece to come from Snoop & Jam's forthcoming mixtape, Throw Ya Dubs Up: Dubstep LA Volume 2. Mistajam got the ever brilliant True Tiger boys to send Snoop the 'Be Like Me' instrumental, then got P Money, D Double & Professor Green to drop a verse each, and this is the result. Absolutely massive track, from what is without doubt going to be an incredible project.
As crazy as it sounds - after the release of Example's latest single, Stay Awake, the sales of Elastoplast doubled in September - so, to celebrate the success of the single and his number one album, Playing in The Shadows, Elastoplast has created 150 limited edition Examplaplasts, which feature the lyrics "Stick around yeah, like Elastoplast". All you need to do to enter is register to The House Of Coxhead (top right) and then e-mail your name, Twitter name and answer to the following question (one entry per person, as always) to tjc89209@hotmail.co.uk:
How many times does Example say Elastoplast on the official Stay Awake EP?
(To clarify, that means all 7 versions of the songs - inc. Radio, Extended, Alvin Risk, Delta Heavy, Steve Pitron & Max Sanna, Micky Slim & Moam)
Answer: 10
There are 3 packs to give away, so there will be 3 people chosen at random out of all the the correct answers. The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 9th October, so good luck - the winners will be announced on here and on Twitter.
Please use the #examplaplast hashtag on Twitter when tweeting about the competition.
Released today on Hospital Records, here is the title track and one of my favourite tracks from Camo & Krooked's highly anticipated sophmore album, Cross The Line. Over the past few years the Austrian duo have created their own unique sound, built up a huge reputation as one of the most forward thinking acts in Drum & Bass and gained a very loyal fanbase along the way - this album is another step in the right direction. Get your copy HERE.
Available on October 16th, here is an incredibly smooth and laid back Drum & Bass remix of T.E.E.D's stunning new single, Garden. Was massively disappointed with his live show at Wakestock, but I'm still a huge fan of his production, and when you get a D&B legend on one of the remixes, you know it's going to be a bit special. Pre-order the EP HERE, and check out Jesse Rose's remix HERE. Orlando Higginbottom knows his music.
