Nappy Roots is an American alternative Southern Rap quintet (now a quartet) that originated in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1995 and is best known for its hit single, Anwaw. Their new album, Nappy Dot Org, is pretty average on the whole, but this track is sick and opitimises everything that is positive about the dirty South scene.

After bringing you the incredible all-star remix of 'Be Like Me' yesterday, here are my two favourite tracks from Snoop Dogg & Mistajam's new mixtape, Throw Ya Dubs Up. 'Nuke Town' sees Goldie Loc going in over DJ Wire's mind-blowing 'Tales From The Crypt' (Snoop also drops an amazing verse over Rihanna's 'California Dream Bed' on the outro) and 'Speaker Pop' finds Soopafly doing his thing over 16Bit's massive 'Boston Cream' (MTA all day baby). Never thought I would ever hear anything like this in my life, but then again, you should always expect the unexpected when a project involves Mistajam. Soundcrash & The Doctor's Orders are set to present the UK premiere of Michael Rapaport's award winning film documentary, Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Story Of A Tribe Called Quest, which documents the highs and lows of Hip-Hop's Golden Era's most celebrated group. Featuring an original soundtrack by Madlib and including humourous and insightful interviews with the likes of ?uestlove, De La, Ghostface, ATCQ themselves and many more, the story of A Tribe has never been better told. The screening will be followed by a live show by the one and only Phife Dawg. After being priveliged enough to see an exclusive viewing of this before its release in America, I can safely say that this is something that no Hip-Hop fan will want to miss. I cried.
