The Weeknd - The Zone (Feat. Drake) (Thursday Mixtape)

Here is my favourite track off the newly released mixtape from upcoming R&B star, The Weeknd. After singing his praises on Twitter last night, I have to say that the mixtape is slightly disappointing, but it might be grower. This track featuring Drake is amazing though, as is the cover. You can download the mixtape HERE and make up your own mind.

Doctor Dru & Adana Twins - Juicy Fruit

Just been sent this new video from Shir Khan & Exploited, who have dipped their toes into the world of disco edits with the launch of new label Black Jukebox, which sees contributions from label regulars Homework as well as introducing the Hamburg axis Doctor Dru & Adana Twins into the fold. Doctor Dru&Adana Twins lead the way with this slo-mo housed-up boogie-soul joint. Video is amazing, and is everything I love about House music. Smiles all round.

Master Shortie - Gravity (Feat. Ed Sheeran)

Master Shortie's new single, which features the vocals of Ed Sheeran on the hook/chorus. Massive tune that I expect to do very well when it's released. Shout out to Mistajam, again.

Kidda - Wanna Be Loved (Live Visual Edit)

Some dope animation produced by the Colour Club collective for Kidda's live show coinciding with the release of his second album, Hotel Radio released on Skint Records in September. Still prefer the Stupid Fresh remix, but this is definitely one of the feel good records of 2011.

Maverick Sabre - I Need

Here is the follow up to Maverick Sabre's highly praised debut single 'Let Me Go', which has been given a lot of love and air time from Radio 1 over the past few months. Premiered tonight on Mistajam's show, this incredibly relevant and laid back soulful piece has got me even more excited for the debut album that is set to be released towards the end of the year. One of the most refreshing talents this country has to offer right now - still gutted about not being able to see him at Global, but this kind of makes up for it. Real soul music.

P.S. I thought I had heard this before - there is a version on Mav's 'The Travelling Man Mixtape', but this finished version is about 100x better.

Slabofmisuse - Makes Me Smile x Silent Spring

Here are two of my favourite tracks from the fifth installament of Cold Busted's incredible Street Bangerz series, which has now been taken over by Slabofmisuse. Gramatik was the originator and the man behind the exceptional first three, but after leaving the label Krystian Shek took the reigns and smashed number four - for me though, this effort from the South African beat maker is just as good, if not better than the aforementioned fourth installement. Funky basslines, classic and obscure samples which make for 56 minutes of music that you just can't help but nod your head to. 2011 has been an amazing year for this label thus far, and you can expect a few more top quality releases before we're done. October 25th is the release date.

Delphic - This Momentary (Skream Remix)

Following the hilarious abuse he received last night from Cher Lloyd's crew on Twitter, UKF have today released this spectacular Skream remix of the new Delphic single. Far too many people focus on him being one of the originals, but I love him for being one of the most consistently brilliant Dubstep producers in the game. Love this.

Simply Red - Something Got Me Started (Steve Hurley Mix) x A Certain Radio - Won't Stop Loving You (Norman Cook Remix)

Hard To Find is a compilation series that was released this Monday, which has brought together some classic and lost remixes from old 12" vinyl collections and CD singles gone by, that are as the title suggests, hard to find. For anyone who grew up listening to Jeff Young’s Big Beat and Pete Tong’s Essential Selection from the late 80’s through to the 90s and beyond, or Annie Nightingale’s Sunday night request show, this album is for you. The compilation is scattered with classics that have been remixed by some absolute legends, but it was Steve Hurley's mix of one of my favourite Simply Red tracks and Norman Cook's (better known as Fatboy Slim) remix of the brilliant 'Won't Stop Loving You' by A Certain Radio that stood out for me. In a time where making old stuff cool again is the 'in thing', this is a must have for any DJ/music lover - these two remixes in particular would go down like a dream in any House set. Mick Hucknall has never sounded so good. Get your copy HERE.

Dynamo - Magic Of Football (Episode 1 - Feat. Nemanja Vidic)

Episode 1 of Dynamo's new series the Magic Of Football, which will see the Bradford born magician going up and down the country blowing the minds of some of the Premiership's biggest stars. This episode features Manchester United centre half Nemanja Vidic and is nothing short of spectacular.
