Rolling In The Deep

Now, I love Adele as much as anyone, but after hearing this it made me feel like the song was actually written for John Legend. I expected greatness when I saw he had covered Rolling In The Deep, but I never expected it to be this good. One of the best covers you will ever hear. I love John.

Oh My! - Run This Town

Hot, unique and talented; Alex and Jade are a brand new pop duo who go by the name of Oh My! They are two girls from up North who are currently in a London based studio working on their debut album, and have been joined by my good friend Example. Below is their first piece of music, Run This Town, which you can download HERE and watch the promo video for it HERE. Excited to hear more from these two in the future.

Walking

Mary Mary are an American R&B/Gospel group, who are best known for their smash hit ‘Shackles (Praise You)’, which took the world by storm at the start of the 21st Century. This is my favourite track and the lead single from their 6th studio album, Something Big, which is released next week.

Wonder What I Do x My Own Way

Here are two of my favourite tracks from Snoop’s latest album, Doggumentary, which is out March 29th. Granted it’s not a patch on Doggystyle, but it is sprinkled with some classic stuff from the Dogg - he could have probably cut about 6 tracks and it would have been a much more enjoyable listen (21 is too long for anyone). I would still recommend it to anyone though; just delete the rubbish tracks and enjoy the good stuff. Chuuch!

Open Your Eyes

This is my favourite track from Pusha T’s highly anticipated mixtape, Fear Of God, which dropped earlier on today. It was everything I expected, and has got me even more hyped for his debut solo release on G.O.O.D. Music. Download the mixtape HERE. Also; this is my 1,000th post since starting The House Of Coxhead - I was going to do a huge post, but haven’t got the time right now, couldn’t really think of anything to do and think I’ve posted more than enough stuff recently. But yeah, I just want to say thank you to each an every single one of you who has tweeted, facebooked or told anyone about the Blog - from the bottom of my heart, it means more than you could ever imagine. Here’s to 1,000 more. Tom x

Thinking Of You

Jack Leon Colton is a name that not many of you will recognise; I only came across his music a couple of weeks ago after a studio session that he did on UStream with Mr. Ed Sheeran. He has a very unique vocal tone and is an extremely talented lyricist, as you can hear on this new track that he uploaded to SoundCloud a few days ago. Look out for more from Jack in the near future. Talent.

Flirt

I used to be a massive fan of John Dahlback, but my music taste (house-wise) has changed a lot of the past 12 months and he hasn’t been releasing his best material. However, this new single featuring Terri B is a lovely return to form for man from Sweden.

Fabrication x Bass Cannon

New singles from Emalkay & Flux Pavillion, who for me are two of the most talented Dubstep producers of all-time. Both of these are BIG, and definitely worth the wait.

Peace Of Mind x Luminal

Here are my two favourite tracks from Bulgarian producer Stan Kolev’s new artist album, Grace Light, which was released today on Unreleased Digital. This isn’t usually my kind of thing, but it has a very Deadmau5-ey feel to it (from the Random Album Title days), which in my eyes is still a classic Electronic album. If you like what you hear on these two pieces, then I think you should go and get yourself the album, because it definitely won’t disappoint. Pleasantly surprised after my first listen.

Mission

Heard about Joash a while ago on Gilles Peterson’s show, and have fallen in love with his music ever since - he is a London based producer who started his career as a drummer. The sound he has gone for on the album is surprisingly silver shimmering nu-electronica. If you know the Penguin CafΘ Orchestra from their most successful period of the early Eighties, perhaps this music can be described as the repetitive 2011 modern electronic version of P.C.O. After the jump you can also hear a couple more lovely releases that have caught my eye.

Simon Baker - Let Me In

Rene Breitbarth - My Disco

Luno & Alex Q - We All Don’t Know
