SKANKANDBASS

How about a lovely Drum & Bass mix? Well, here is the latest one from the extremely talented DJ/Producer, Seb Weingartshofer, who is 1/3rd of D&B trio SupraDNB and co-owner of Regal Records. What a lovely way to kick off the new year - this is one of my favourite mixes for a long while. Tracklist and a few words from the man himself are after the jump. Listen and download below. HEAVY!

The first mix of the year, and my first ever recorded three deck mix. Decided to go in hard and energetic to start with, leading on to a bit of darker heavy basslines then finishing on some easy liquid mixing. Lindesfarne II

One of my favourite tracks from James Blake’s highly anticipated self-titled album that is set to be released next month. With enchanting vocals and hypnotic beats throughout, this really is one of the most forward-thinking projects I’ve heard for a very long time. He has come from nowhere, but deserves all of the praise and accolades he has been getting. Super talented young man.

In The Jungle

Here is a new remix from the Murkage Cartel off their Warm-Up Riddims project and as was heard on DJ Target’s show the other night, courtesy of sapnarella. From championing Dubstep and recreating the grimy Garage scenes of their youth, to rocking sweaty-heady-sleazy fashion parties in the noughties, Murkage have always expressed a unique creativity and philosophy through music.
