New tune from Strong Arm Steady’s next album, Arms & Hammers, which will be out next year sometime. In Search Of Stoney Jackson is still one of my favourite Hip-Hop albums of 2010 and it seems the standard won’t be dropping for this next effort. Massive tune.

Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 10:30PM Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble and Aloe Blacc pay tribute to Guru. They perform an arrangement of Gang Starr’s “Betrayal”. Simply incredible.

On Twitter the other day I said that I had listened to the most forward thinking album of 2010. No Shortcuts by Gramatik was that album, which has a completely new and different sound to anything he has ever done previously. Dubstep, to be precise. Here is my favourite track from the album, which samples one of the all time classics. He’s absolutely smashed it. Album is out September 21st on Cold Busted.

Over the past few years The Rub (DJ Ayres, DJ Eleven & Cosmo Baker) have been putting together mixes for each year in hip hop (dating back to 1979). Hit the jump for 2000-2009 (and be sure to check out their archives to grab the rest). This is simply incredible and something that all Hip-Hop fans should appreciate and have in their collection. All the covers are sick too. Spotted over @2DopeBoyz.
