Alt-J - Tessellate (Ben_de_Vries Remix)

Taken from the Alt-J's recently released remix album, here is Ben_de_Vries' rework of the group's most well known track. Fluttering drums and a unique style make this is the best Alt-J remix I've heard to date. Get your copy HERE.

Ursa Minor - WTF Is Love

'WTF Is Love' is my favourite track from the recently released EP from Gabby Cooke, better known as Ursa Minor, or Little Bear. I was introduced to Ursa's music on the recent Mikill Pane tour, where she was the main support act, and was echanted by this unique alternative take on Electronic music, which pulls on influences from House, Pop & Soul. After the jump you can check out the original, along with the Ular Grey remix, and the official video for title track and lead single 'Shell'. Oh, and if you want to know WTF is love, then get your copy HERE, and you'll find out...

Nina Nesbitt's 'Boy' now available to pre-order

Following the Hostage remix getting lots of support from Radio 1 & 1Xtra over the past few weeks, the EP for the lead single from Nina Nesbitt's debut album is now available to pre-order on iTunes. The EP features the Hostage remix, along with the unheard original, an acoustic version and a demo version of an album track called 'Jessica'. Nina has described the single as "more Rock influenced" than her previous work, so it will be interesting to hear the end product. Out September 9th - pre-order HERE.

The xx - Sunset

'Sunset' is my favourite track from 'Coexist', which is the highly anticipated sophmore album by The xx and is set to be released September 10th on Young Turks. The album is once again produced entirely by Jamie Smith, and the progression in his (and the band's) style is evident from the outset, with an even more mature and thought-provoking sound than we heard on their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. Love the House vibe on this particular track - pre-order HERE.

George Harris - Don't Know

'I Don't Know' is the strongest track from Chorley-based singer/songwriter George Harris' debut EP 'Junior', which is set to be released August 31st on Hey Bert Records. If you're a fan of Alternative Rock/Folk, then this is for you - an incredibly strong debut from an independent artist, who has an abundance of talent. Keep up to date with George HERE.

Hadouken! - Bad Signal

Joining the likes of Kim Wilde, Vanilla Fudge & Reba McEntire in sampling the classic 'You Keep Me Hanging On' by The Supremes, here is the brand new single from British band Hadouken!. The track is a Grimey Dubstep affair and is the follow up 'Parasite', which was the lead single from their forthcoming untitled third studio album.

Nina Nesbitt - The Funeral (Band Of Horses Cover)

17-year old Scottish singer/songwriter Nina Nesbitt recently uploaded a new cover to YouTube, which is produced by herself and sees her putting her own interpretation of the 2006 single from Band Of Horses. Enchanting stuff.
