'Ruffneck' is the new single from Manchester-based production outfit North Base, which consists of Prophecy, Sonic, Silver, Ikee B & Microcosm. The single is set to be released tomorrow on Wheely Dealy, with a B-side entitled 'Acid Flashback'. Top class bass music, with a real old skool vibe to it.

Flux Pavilion - Daydreamer (Feat. Example) (Jack Beats Remix)

After bringing you the Dillon Francis remix a few weeks ago and the Danny Byrd remix yesterday, here is the final remix of the debut single from Flux Pavilion, which comes courtesy of production duo Jack Beats. JB keep the melodic intro/build up, before dropping into their unique wobbly bassline sound that we have all come to love over the past few years. Freshly premiered last night on Zane Lowe's show, here is the highly anticipated collaboration from 20 year-old Liverpool-born producer Melé and UK Hip-Hop legend Kano. I love how Melé doesn't pin himself to one genre and I love how KA can basically spit over any beat you give him. This is massive, and I'm very pleased to hear Kano has been in the studio with Boys Noize again. Futuristic stuff.

Alvin Risk is currently readying the release of his new EP 'Infinity', and today uploaded the title track, which is nothing short of spectacular. The track is only 3.50 mins long, but takes you on a musical journey that delves into about 12 different genres and seems to last forever, in a good way. I'm openly not dubstep's biggest fan. Give me Hip-Hop, Classical, Soulful House or Latin Jazz over it anyday. However, I firmly believe that there is good in every genre, and this is a banger. AC Slater has kept this remix highly recognisable while adding the layers of electronic bass-laced madness that the kids are going mad for these days!
