What do you get when you throw together Mayer Hawthorne, 2 of the most exciting underground MCs around and a producer whose credits range from work with MF Doom to the late J Dilla? Quite a serious record apparently, 'The Buzz' forms the A-side to Californian duo MED & Blue's second EP, which shares the same name as the title track, and is due for release on November 26th. Hip-Hop as it should be.

And in typical Blu fashion, the LA-born rapper drops a full LP out of nowhere, which is produced by Madlib. The album is 14 tracks long, 128kbps in quality, unmastered and isn't the greatest body of work from two artists who put out more music than anyone else in the industry. No idea why you would want to, but if you would like to buy it, HERE is where you need to go.

Pharcyde member Uncle Imani has drafted in Blu & Luckyiam for his new single, L.A. Blaze. Old skool mixed with nu-skool = dope.

Initially available as a low-quality download from Blu’s myspace, Her Favourite Colour has finally been mixed and mastered. With love-themed movie quotes drifting in and out and Blu’s heartbreak raps sitting atop his own mellow production, HFC is the most distinct and cohesive project Blu has released to date. Below is my favourite track, you can get your copy HERE.

Something new and completely different from one of the most talented rappers to come out of the game in the past few years. Below The Heavens is an all-time classic already, but this shows how diverse an artist he is. Dope.

The Clubhouse released a 5-track EP today, and this is my favourite from it. Featuring Blu, Freddie Gibbs & Homeboy Sandman; this is everything I love about Hip-Hop. A hard beat and nothing but sick rhymes.

Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:50PM A new video from one of the sickest rapper/producer duos in Hip-Hop, Blu & Exile. Both of these guys have so much talent.
