Adele takes Songwriter award & Ed Sheeran wins Best Song at Ivor Novello's

After sweeping up at the BRITS & The Grammys, Adele was nominated for four awards at this year's Ivor Novello's, taking away two; Songwriter of The Year and Most Performed Work of 2011 for 'Rolling In The Deep'. Ed Sheeran picked up Best Song Musically & Lyrically for 'The A-Team', beating off competition from 'Rolling In The Deep' & 'Shake It Out' by Florence & The Machine. PJ Harvey won Album of the Year award for 'Let England Shake', which was up against Adele's '21' & '50 Words For Snow By Kate Bush'.

Ed Sheeran's '+' available to pre-order in US

Ed Sheeran's debut album '+' today went up for pre-order in the USA, with a confirmed release date of June 12th. Ed has had to come home from the US Snow Patrol tour a couple of days earlier than planned, but will be announced a full US & Canada headline tour in June. Pre-order the album HERE.

Ed Sheeran announces Australia/New Zealand Tour

Ed Sheeran is currently on tour in the USA with Snow Patrol, but last night it was announced that he has been confirmed to play 6 dates across Australia & New Zealand in July/August. Frontier Members will be able to get hold of pre-sale tickets from 12 Noon AEST, Thursday 26 April and general public tickets go on sale 9am Monday April 30th. Dates after the jump.

All-female shortlist for Ivor Novello album award

Today it has been announced that Adele, Kate Bush and PJ Harvey will fight it out for best album at next month's Ivor Novello awards. Two of Adele's tracks, 'Rolling in the Deep' and 'Someone Like You', are nominated for most performed work, alongside Take That's 'The Flood'. 'Rolling in the Deep' is also up for best song muscially and lyrically, alongside 'The A-Team' by Ed Sheeran and 'Shake It Out' by Florence & The Machine. The annual awards, to be presented in London on May 17th, celebrate British and Irish songwriting and composing and are voted for by songwriters.
