Sugardaddy - How Long (Tensnake Rework)

Featured in his recent mix for FACT Magazine, here is a preview of Tensnake's rework of the 1974 release by Sugardaddy. This German-based producer has been one of the most hard-working and consistent producers in the Electronic world over the past few years and has a knack of capturing the sound of Summer in his music. Coming soon on Late Night Tales.

Cool Million - Pick It Up (Feat. Meagan McNeal)

'Pick It Up' is my favourite track from Danish-based duo Cool Million's new album 'III', which is the latest release on Sedsoul. Their mission is to "take soul back to the future", and with vocalists such as Kenny Thomas, Peggi Blu & Bashiyra, backed by funky soulful production, they are doing just that right now. Get your copy HERE, and enjoy one of the best albums of 2012 so far.

Kelan Philip Cohran & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble - Roust About x Stateville

Moving away from their usual Hip-Hop/Funk sound, here are my two favourite tracks from The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble's new collaborative album with Kelan Philip Cohran. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the HBE, they are a Chicago-based band featuring a drummer and eight brothers on assorted horns (trumpets, trombones, bari horn and sousaphone). Cohran is their octogenarian father, and is an important figure in music history, having played trumpet for Sun Ra, mentored Earth Wind & Fire and travelled the world in search of musical and spiritual enlightenment. Together they have created something a bit different to what most HBE fans will be used to, but it's still hypnotic and uniquely refreshing. Support.

Sixfingerz - Love Is All We Are

The latest release on Cold Busted comes in the form of a new full-length album called 'Extra Digits' from Belgian producer Sixfingerz, which is set to drop July 4th. Sick samples, sick cuts and just a generally sick Trip-Hop album from start to finish. Can't stop listening to this track.

Joey Negro & The Sunburst Band - In The Thick Of It

Here is the lead single from the new album by The Sunburst Band, which is a band created by Joey Negro back in 1998, and consists of Michele Chiavarini, Julian Crampton, Thomas Dyani-Akuru and Tony Remy, as well as his regular vocalist Taka Boom, the sister of Chaka Khan. Basically, Joey Negro is one of the best producers in the world, and this is another one of his countless forward-thinking projects. Words can't describe how much I love his music, and how much I'm looking forward to this album.

Lauren Housley - My Baby Cry

Produced by Tom Dibb, 'My Baby Cry' is my favourite track from Manchester-based Soul singer Lauren Housley's forthcoming debut EP 'One Step Closer', which is set for release on June 11th. The 5 tracks all have a completely unique sound, but Lauren's breath-taking vocals and refreshing writing skills make this an incredibly cohesive and enjoyable listen. Her voice would sound at home alongside Soul legends such as Ray Charles, and with the evident Northern Soul influences, 'One Step Closer' brings everything that was positive about 60s/70s straight into the 21st Century. You can check out an exclusive preview of the EP HERE and follow Lauren on Twitter HERE. Love, love, love.
