Eli Escobar - Something Inside Of Me

Eli Escobar is one of New York's finest DJs, and has constantly been produced great (deep) house over the past 10 years or so. His latest album 'The Beach Album' is brilliant, but this song specifically really stands out... Track 16 on the album, it's the perfect meeting of deep house and gospel. Makes my body move like crazy every time I hear it. Support it here.

Peven Everett & Deetron - Evermore

Sometimes you see two names written next to one another, and you just know it's going to be good... Peven Everett and Deetron are two of those people. Both legends within the deep house scene, it's amazing to see them collaborating on original music in 2023. This one will no doubt be a future classic - get your copy and support here.

Bob Marley - Could you be loved (Kolter Edit)

Kolter, pka DJOKO, continues his never ending run of quality with this fun little edit of a Bob Marley classic. Available as a free download on Bandcamp, it's safe to say this one with light up any dancefloor... Make sure you also check out his brilliant 'Radio Los Santos', which is one of my favourites in recent months.

Dom Dolla - Saving Up

"Don't fix it, if it ain't broken?" Well, that'd be boring, right? Diverting away from his much-loved sound that has made him one of the hottest names in dance music over the past 8 years, it's very refreshing and exciting to see Dom Dolla switch it up for his latest release. Premiered in his set for Selected earlier this year, it's been a hotly anticipated ID in all of his sets. French touch vibes, but make it 2023.

Jazzy - NRG

Sometimes an artist comes along and feels very important. Jazzy ticks that box in 2023. In the world of dance music that is over-saturated with male producers, it's refreshing to see a young female singer, songwriter and DJ bringing her fresh flavour to house music, with a tasteful nod to the past. Can't wait to see what she has to bring to the table in the coming year or so. Superstar.

Frits Wentink - Intentions

When you see Frits Wentink and WOLF Music next to each other, you know it's going to be good. Dutch producer Frits has been releasing quality house music for over 10 years now and we've always been a huge supporter of him on The House of Coxhead. Love the whole EP, but 'Intentions' is definitely the one standing out to me... vocal sample is top tier.

Gerd - Envision

A stunning new track from Gerd's new EP 'Kosmos Tour', which is forthcoming on Frame of Mind, a sister label of his legendary 4Lux imprint.
This Dutch master has been one of house music's unsung heroes since the early 90s, under many aliases, and it still churning out great music in 2023. The whole EP is worth checking out, but this was a standout for me - classic Gerd vibes, twisting and grooving!

ADAM TEN & MAORI - SPRING GIRL

Adam Ten & Maori's latest release 'Spring Girl' on Diplo's Higher Ground is a current favourite.

The vocal's subtly unclear lyrics hit rhythmically over the producers' unique & constant changing percussion. If you listen to more of Adam's tracks, his drums are definitely what immediately grab you. Something we appreciate in the peak of disposable track copycat bedroom producer era.

Jungle - Us Against The World

Jungle never miss. We are four albums into the Jungle project, and the level of quality is frightening. I remember watching them for the first time ever at their gig at Oval Space back in 2014... to see their journey since then has been quite incredible. Amazing songwriters, amazing producers. They deserve all of the success they're seeing. This the opening track on the latest album, and I love it so much.

James Blake - I Want You To Know

Wow... just finished my first listen of the James Blake album 'Playing Robots In Heaven', which is probably going to take a few more listens and some time to sink in just how good it really is. There are many highlights and the entire body of work is an incredible listen, but a standout track was 'I Want You To Know', which is an ethereal, classic James Blake flip of the classic 'Beautiful' by Snoop Dogg, Pharrell and Charlie Wilson. I very rarely throw the word genius out into the world... but having followed James' career since the very start and having had the pleasure to get to know him, it's the only world that really does his work justice. Must listen.
