DivaGeek - Album Snippets

Vula Malinga & Ben Jones, better known as DivaGeek, have both been involved in the music business for quite a while now, but 2012 sees the London-based duo preparing the release of their debut album. DG was born in 2006 when the two first wrote together and started work on Vula's debut EP 'If U Want It' - including 5 tracks & 2 remixes, the EP was independently released digitally through DivaGeek Records in July 2008. With this they were able to play live across the UK, as well as going abroad and supporting the likes of Loose Ends & Musiq Soulchild. However, both have grown as artists since then, and this album will be a showcase of everything that they have learned from their experiences over the past few years. Deadplate label boss Synamatix, a man who’s take on the current UK bass scene is as on point as you could wish, brings us a smashing new mix for Hyponik. Having been involved in the continued development of the UK’s house/bass/dubstep story for a minute, the London-based label boss, DJ, blogger and producer has put together an hour of current sounds that is bristling with quality. D'Angelo - First show in 12 years TONIGHT in Stockholm

Yes, you read correctly, tonight sees the return of the one and only D'Angelo to our lives, and now we can rest assure that it's definitely no joke. Earlier today, he was snapped with a fan on the streets of Stockholm (above) looking well and tonight sees him perform his first show in just over 12 YEARS @ the Filadelfiakyrkan arena! Clement Marfo & The Frontline - Mayhem (Feat. Kano) (Cover x Remixes)

After dropping the video a couple of weeks ago, Clement Marfo & The Frontline have now released the cover and producers that will be handling remix duties. The 'Mayhem' package will include remixes from Doorly, Ishi, TRC, Eddie K & Minus and Smasher, and will be available on March 12th with the original. Rockness Announces 2012 Line-Up

Scotland's most well-known festival Rockness has today announced the inital line-up for this years event. They have Scotland-born Biffy Clyro headlining, alongside Deadmau5 and folk group Mumford & Sons - also on the line-up is Ed Sheeran, Azelia Banks, Justice, Metronomy, TEED & Wretch 32; making for incredibly diverse bill with something to please everyone. The festival will be held in Loch Ness on the weekend of June 8th-10th, with tickets on sale HERE. More to be announced...

John Legend - Tonight (Best You Ever Had) (Feat. Ludacris)

Three years after the release of his last solo single, John Legend teams up with Ludacris for this lovely head-nodding R&B jam, which is the lead single for the soundtrack from the upcoming film 'Think Like A Man'. The film will star Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Taraji P. Henson, Meagan Good, Terrence J & Gabrielle Union, with the single being released January 31st. Welcome back John.

Simon Cowell set to launch new reality TV show 'to find the world's greatest DJs'

X Factor mogul Simon Cowell yesterday announced that he will be launching a brand new TV talent show, which is set "to find the world's greatest DJs". The show is yet to be given a title, but we know that it will have a similar format to that of X Factor, with DJs battling it out on stage to win a highly lucrative deal at the end of the series. The show will be co-produced by Cowell's company SyCo and production group Overbrook, which is owned by none other than actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. It is still unknown what UK/US channel the show will be aired on, but it's been in the works for over a year, and you can see what all parties have to say about the programme after the jump. If nothing else, it will be funny to see the Weatherspoon-esque DJs during the audition stages.

Cypress Hill & Rusko - Roll It, Light It

After the news surfaced a few days ago that Mad Decent signee Rusko was teaming up with legendary West Coast group Cypress Hill, the first piece from their 5-track EP, which will be out in April, has now hit the web. Thought this collaboration could have been a bit all over the place, but it works, well.

Nero - Must Be The Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix) (Free Download)

Delta Heavy, one of my favourite Drum & Bass acts of the past 12 months, take on the latest single from Nero and give it away on their SoundCloud as a free download. The remixes that made the official EP are all sick, but this is definitely my favourite.
