21 Questions with Pete Rock

Spotted over @SoulCulture, here is a video of Fred Bear catching up with legendary producer Pete Rock as part of his '21 Questions' series. A very sick idea and a very sick insight into one of the greatest Hip-Hop minds of all-time - both serious and trivial topics are covered. Pete Rock loves playing the UK more than the US. Yes.

Break - Framework x Sato - Clap Your Hands

Symmetry Recordings are back with their final relase of 2011, which features two lovely pieces of D&B; one from label owner Break and one from new signing Sato. 'Framework' is a true Drum & Bass grinder with a bassline that will blow your mind, and is everything that we have come to expect from the ever-brilliant Break. 'Clap Your Hands' has an uplifting vocal and a very old skool Jungle feel to it, and is the perfect way for the Newcastle-born producer to kick off his time on Symmetry. Big release, available December 12th.

You can hear the full session HERE, catch Nina supporting Example on Thursday in Manchester and pick up the Live Take EP on December 5th (Glue is the lead single). Smoove & Turrell - Gabriel

Smoove & Turrell round off an incredible year with the emotional and highly charged single 'Gabriel'. Their previous single 'Hard Work' gave the boys their first UK national radio playlist, spending 4 weeks on the Radio 2 playlist in October and cracking the UK Airplay charts. Now the Geordie duo have their sights set on the charts with a beautiful song that shows why John Turrell is considered to be one of the most important new singer/songwriters in the UK. Backed by Smoove’s classic production and with a subtle nod to its release date - this is set to be the single that lifts the band to the next level. LOVE!
