Slimmah Sound & Lyrical Benji - Live Your Life

Here is a track taken from Firm In Jah, which is the 10th release from the Roots Tribe Record - it is a showcase album that sees Slimmah Sound team up with Lyrical Benjie, who is the resident singer for the critically acclaimed King Shiloh sound system that hails in the Netherlands. Just some laid back Dub music that is perfect for rolling the windows down to when you're driving along in the beating sunshine.

Kidda - Wanna Be Loved (Stupid Fresh Remix)

Oh baby, Stupid Fresh is back with this stunning remix of Kidda's new single, Wanna Be Loved. For those of you who don't know who Kidda is, he is known by his family as Ste McGregor and is an electronic music/video producer who is signed to the incredible Brighton-based label, Skint Records – the home of Fatboy Slim. The original will be released sometime this month, but for now you will have to make do with this little beauty that you can buy on Beatport HERE! Seriously though, if you don't wait for the drop @ 1.30, then we can't be friends. One of those tunes that you just have to keep sticking on repeat, over and over and over again. Below you can also hear the the new Gramophonedzie single that you can purchase HERE, and a fun little Bee Gees remix courtesy of Oskar.

Scroobius Pip - Introdiction

Here is the first teaser track from Scroob's upcoming solo record, Distraction Pieces, which is produced by Danny Lohner. The video was shot for £100 directed by Aaron Shrimpton & Scroobius Pip and shot by Tom Coles. This sounds massive - always thought that No Commercial Breaks was under-rated (better than most of the Dan vs Scroob stuff), so I really hope that Distraction Places delivers the goods.

Diplo & Datsik - Pick Your Poison (Feat. Kay)

Released yesterday on Mad Decent, here is the new collaborative single from Diplo & Datsik. Electro meets Dubstep for one of the craziest releases of the year - wasn't expecting to like it that much, but I do. Get your copy HERE.

Adele vs. Joris Voorn - Rolling In The Deep Incident (Tamer Malki Booty Edit)

Adele remixes seem to be all over the place at the minute, but none of them have really done much for me. However, this edit from Tamer Malki which brings together Adele's smash hit and Joris' summer jam makes for a smooth listen that is a must have for your iPod this Summer. Get your copy for free below.

DJ Sneak - Can't Wait Another Day

The most enjoyable track off the latest EP from DJ Sneak, and this time it comes courtesy of Riva Starr's label Snatch!, which is growing in popularity with every release. His unique sampling style/choices, groovy vibes and general outlook on making music have made Sneak become one of my favourite House producers over the past 12 months. Buy on Beatport NOW!

M-Trey - A Chance x Content

Great unsigned artists are few and far between, but ever since discovering this guy back in 2009 I have become enchanted by his story, and music. Delbert Hunt III, better known as M-Trey (previously Master 3), is a young Chicagoan rapper/singer who has an extensive back catalogue of mixtapes/albums that all seem to have a well thought out concept - his latest release is no different (see his words on the album below), and for me is his best release to date. 3AM shows the progression of Trey's ability to tell a story and the way he can structure hooks/choruses and songs as a whole. As with all his albums he gives you it for free, but if you like what you hear on these two tracks and love his music as much as me, then should you spread the word and support one of the most talented young artists I know (all the links you need are below).

“It’s finally here. I named this album 3AM because I stay up late to write all the time. I’ve always felt that those times when I’m sitting late at night, alone with my own thoughts, are when I’m the most honest with myself. Everything I’ve been trying to forget about or ignore comes to the surface and I’m forced to deal with it. In that spirit, this album is probably my most honest to date, and that’s something that I’m really proud of. This is everything that’s been inside of me for the past year, and I hope the people who listen to it can get something from it.

Wake up. It’s 3AM.”

Lewie Day - Some Kind O Man x Fantastic Man - From Start To Finish

OH BABY! Victoria's finest have come together to launch the Melbourne Deepcast imprint, proving that there is much more to the city than just great coffee. The first release is a beautiful four track EP that features these two gems from men who are under different aliases. First up is Lewie Day, who is probably better known to the record buying public as Tornado Wallace - Lewie drops this immensely soulful mid-tempo groove, 'Some Kind O Man', which is a sample-heavy house jam that brings together all the elements that I love about House/Nu-Disco. On the B-Side there is some highly anticipated new stuff from Fantastic Man (aka Mic Newman), who brings 'From Start To Finish', which sounds like a snug fit for the 6th Borough Project back cat. One of my favourite releases of the year so far.

Coloursound Festival Season 1 - Leeds/Manchester

Over the past few decades Manchester and Leeds have cemented themselves as two of the most influential cities in the country when it comes to music, and with dance music in particular they have played host to some of the most incredible artists from all around the world. Coloursound Festival aims to build on this reputation by adding a wide array of Electronic nights to Leeds & Manchester, that can work well alongside well established clubs such as Mint, Sankeys and of course the ever brilliant Warehouse Project. The line-up includes Trentemoller, Kenny Dope, DJ Fresh, Reboot, Maceo Plex, Huxley, Murkage and many more, making for what could well be one of the most exciting new music events around. You can check out all the different nights HERE, and get your tickets on Skiddle. I wouldn't miss out on this if I were you.
