Faith SFX - Play Hard (Feat. Wretch 32) x Reach For The Sky (Feat. Little Dee & P Money)

Beatboxers/vocal percussionists are best known for their live performances and usually find it difficult to create a solid discography for themselves - Rahzel probably has the best, and even his isn't that impressive. Over the past few years Faith SFX has fast become the go-to-man when it comes to beatboxing in this country and has just dropped his highly anticipated debut album, Man Or Machine, which boasts a tracklist that is nothing short of spectacular. Upon clicking play I didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say that I love every single thing about it - he has drafted in the very best MCs in Grime and UK Hip-Hop to create an album that showcases everything positive about the Urban scene right now. Below are two of my favourite tracks - every MC on the album does their thing, but Wretch & P are the two that stood out for me (Cykologic deserves a mention too - never heard of him, but he blew me away). Genuinely one of the best albums of the year so far - get your copy HERE.

Poldoore - Greenwood

My favourite track from Poldoore's debut Cold Busted release, L.A.X., which will be available to buy on July 13th. Mixing together Dub, Trip-Hop, Funk & Soul, he has created a sound that won't sound out of place at any BBQ this Summer. Jam.

Mikill Pane - Summer In The City

A new single from Mikill Pane, which is produced by Jake Gosling & Adam Coltman. Love the upbeat production, his rhymes are on point as always and the hook/chorus absolutely smash it - have a feeling that I'll be singing along to this a lot over Summer. The video, which features a few little cameos (including Ed Sheeran), is produced, filmed & directed by Ruskin Kyle. Mr. Pane is one of my favourite artists out there right now - he has a super fresh sound and general outlook on life.

Beyoncé - Best I Never Had

Another new leak from Beyoncé's upcoming album, 4. This one is written by Babyface, produced by Symbolic One and is my favourite piece to come from the album so far. Sounding fierce.

Atfunk – Something About You (Downtempo Edit)

Atfunk is back with a fresh nu-Disco track that sounds like it's come straight from the 70s - with so much funk and soul, this is something that I would expect to stumble across in my parents vinyl collection. Two dope remixes from Timewarp Inc and Trotter are floating around too. Big summer tune.

Maverick Sabre - Let Me Go

Following on from his exceptional Professor Green and True Tiger features, and the well received Travelling Man mixtape, here is Maverick Sabre's debut single. Utilising elements of Soul, Reggae and Hip-Hop, Maverick has created an incredibly unique sound that can't really be compared to anyone else. Have a feeling that this man has an massive 2011 ahead of him. Lots of love for the Portishead sample too.

Surecut Kids - Drunk In This (Feat. Cheasleauen) (Phetsta Remix)

Wasn't overly convinced when I heard the "I'm drunk in this bitch" intro, but the build up and drop @ 1:09 made me swiftly change my mind. A top Dubstep remix.

Junclassic - People

The latest single from Junclassic's new album, Better Than Fiction, which will be produced entirely by Wunderkid. The familiar loop definitely agrees with headphones - real head bopping Hip-Hop.

Nicola Conte - Do You Feel Like I Feel (Feat. Gregory Porter) x Love From The Sun (Feat. Nailah Porter & José James)

Although the cover didn't give me the best first impression, Nicola Conte's new album is easily his most collaborative, righteous and deepest record to date. The exceptionally talented Gregory Porter was drafted in for the first of my two favourite tracks, which sees the NFL player turned Jazz singer feature on a much more uptempo piece of music than we came to expect from his stunning debut album, Water. The second track is a super unique rework of Roy Ayers' classic, Love From The Sun, which finds Nailah Porter & José James teaming up with the multi-talented Italian producer. This is simply a must buy for any fan of Jazz music.

Samiyam - Escape x My Buddy

Sam Baker, better known as Samiyam, is an instrumental Hip-Hop producer from Michigan who was first discovered in 2008 by the incredble Flying Lotus. His latest release, Sam Baker's Album, is 40 minutes of pure listening pleasure, a series of woozy, off-centre Hip-Hop instrumentals drawing heavily on Baker’s love of electronic funk. Always unique, and never ordinary, this is a must have if you are a Samiyam fan - his best work to date.
