Mr. Zinc putting his own unique twist on one of my favourite singles from 2010. Aloe Blacc is one of the coolest men in music. Big remix.

All Black Everything

The best thing I’ve heard from Lupe’s upcoming album, Lasers. Apparently he thinks it’s the best song he’s ever made; not sure I would go that far, but it is very sick.

I think Ghetts has a little bit of an anger problem, but I suppose he does have a point. Not the greatest song ever, but it was never going to be. I personally think people should just get their heads down, write some more material and maybe they’ll be on the list next year.

Visuals for Mz. Bratt’s new single, which I have to say do nothing for me. She is very hot and it’s a big tune, but the video adds no value to the song.

My Life In Hip-Hop

I was born on December 31st 1989, and since then there has been A LOT of Hip-Hop released. After the jump you will find 22 songs (one for each year year from 1989-2010), all of which I believe define the sound of that year. It’s amazing to see the progression as the years have gone by and to see where we have got to today. People who say Hip-Hop is dead have no idea what they are on about. Hip-Hop will never die. Hip-Hop is my life.

1989. De La Soul - Me Myself & I

1990. A Tribe Called Quest - Bonita Applebum

1991. Main Source - Looking At The Front Door

1992. Pete Rock & CL Smooth - T.R.O.Y.

1993. Guru - When You’re Near (Feat. N’Dea Davenport & Simon Law)

1994. NaS - The World Is Yours

1995. Mobb Deep - Temperature’s Rising

1996. Jay-Z - D’Evils

1997. The Notorious B.I.G. - Sky’s The Limit (Feat. 112)

1998. OutKast - Da Art Of Storytellin’ (Part 1)

1999. Dr. Dre - What’s The Difference (Feat. Eminem)

2000. Common - The Light

2001. Wu-Tang Clan - Uzi

2002. Clipse - Grindin’

2003. Jaylib - The Red

Codex

This is my favourite piece from Radiohead’s melodic new album, The King Of Limbs. It offers just eight tracks and lasts a mere 37 minutes, and it’s clear that it wasn’t intended as a major statement, but nevertheless it’s classic Radiohead and Thom Yorke never fails to amaze me. You can get a digital copy HERE and you can purchase a copy on March 29th, if you so wish.
