Yussef Dayes & Chronixx - Pon Di Plaza

Yussef Dayes' highly anticipated debut album 'Black Classical Music' dropped earlier this month, and it's safe to say it's worth the wait. Featuring the likes of Tom Misch, Masego and Jamilah Barry, the project feels like a beautiful, refreshing and modern take on Jazz in 2023... the highlight for me though comes in the form of 'Pon Di Plaza' with Chronixx. Chronixx said that the song "reflects on the family’s journey over the years from Spanish to the astral realms." - a beautiful song, that will no doubt be a future classic.

Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes - What Kinda Music (Jordan Rakei Remix)

One of my favourite artists out there right now, Jordan Rakei comes through with a next level remix of the title track from Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes' standout project 'What Kinda Music'. Wasn't expecting this to drop and it's somehow elevated one of the best songs of 2020, even more. The whole remix is amazing, but. shit starts to get real at around 2:30... Enjoy!
