Adele takes Songwriter award & Ed Sheeran wins Best Song at Ivor Novello's

After sweeping up at the BRITS & The Grammys, Adele was nominated for four awards at this year's Ivor Novello's, taking away two; Songwriter of The Year and Most Performed Work of 2011 for 'Rolling In The Deep'. Ed Sheeran picked up Best Song Musically & Lyrically for 'The A-Team', beating off competition from 'Rolling In The Deep' & 'Shake It Out' by Florence & The Machine. PJ Harvey won Album of the Year award for 'Let England Shake', which was up against Adele's '21' & '50 Words For Snow By Kate Bush'.

DJ Fresh - The Power (Feat. Dizzee Rascal) (Datsik Remix)

Hard dubstep producer Datsik twists DJ Fresh's new Dizzee Rascal-featuring single "The Power", and adds some of his trademark wobbles and samples to create a fresh (no pun intended) look at what's probably going to be the biggest hit of the summer. Not Datsik's best work, but it's a nice addition to the remix package all the same. Out 3rd June on Ministry of Sound - pre-order.

Bustre - Male Logic

Last week, D&B producer Bustre self-released his debut album This Is An Album About Science, and the opener "Male Logic" is probably my favourite of the bunch. The record itself is a perfect representation of his sound, mixing agressive, fast-paced smashers with more melodic, laid-back beats, and this particular track itself is even a blend of those two elements. Consistently blown away by this guy's technical ability, and this album is a living embodiment of what is to come from him. Following on from their last single 'I Need Some Money', which was playlisted on 1xtra and given lots of love by Pro Green on Nihal's Radio 1 Review Show, Great Scott are back with a video for the follow up single, 'Everything I Do Goin' Be Funky'. Their voices aren't the sterotypical rap voices that you're used to hearing, and their beats have a real old skool feel, but that's what I love about them.
