Spector - Celestine (Official Video)

As much as everyone else was feeling indie five-piece Spector's last effort "Chevy Thunder", it didn't really resonate with me. But this? This is more like it. Released earlier on today, here's the official video for their new single "Celestine", which was Zane Lowe's Hottest Record a few weeks ago. It's got that sort of anthemic feel about it, and is the best piece of modern rock music I've heard in years. Also, refreshing to see a band not taking themselves too seriously. Love this.

John Newman - Cheating

In the run-up to the release of his Rudimental collaboration "Feel The Love", vocalist and songwriter John Newman dropped this little ditty on his YouTube channel a couple of days ago - a soulful piece by the name of "Cheating". The obvious comparison to make here would be that his tone is reminiscent of Maverick Sabre, but his range his far more impressive. Got a real old-school vibe about it. Big things in store for this guy, I'm sure.

Usher - Climax (ZHU Remix)

And the remixes of Usher's 'Climax' keep coming, with ZHU this time taking it down a chilled out Progressive route, which suits the vocals down to a tee. Can imagine this version slotting into most people's Summer playlists perfectly. Free download.

Poldoore - Industry Of Love x But I Do

Following on from Gramatik's 'Street Bangerz Vol. 1, 2 & 3', Krystian Shek's 'Vol. 4' and Slabofmisuse's 'Vol. 5' - Poldoore steps up to bring us 'Street Bangerz Vol. 6', which is set to be released May 30th on Cold Busted. This series has been absolutely flawless thus far, and I'm pleased to say that Poldoore has kept up the trend, opitimising everything that's refreshing about this label - fusing together Trip-Hop with Soul, Funk and many other genres to create a forward-thinking outlook on making music. Below you can check out two of my favourite tracks from the album - if you like them, please be sure to support when it drops. Amazing music.

FUNKTIONS - Trouvere (Club Mix)

This seems to have been around for quite some time now, but I've only just been put onto his music and US producer FUNKTIONS still seems relatively unknown having looked at his SoundCloud plays, etc. However, FUNKTIONS is a name that you need to become familiar with, because with tracks like 'Trouvere' he is clearly putting the funk back into House music and his style is very reminiscent to that of Armand Van Helden's early work. Absolutely LOVE this!!

Gensu Dean - Ramesses (Feat. 7evenThirty & Homeboy Sandman)

The ever impresive Gensu Dean calls on 7evenThirty & Homeboy Sandman to provide the vocals for his new single 'Ramesses', which is a term for ancient Egyptian royalty, Pharaohs to be specific. 7even is brilliant, but Sandman is lyrically on another level to anyone out there right there now - you need a dictionary to disect his verses. Pick up your copy of Gensu's album 'Lo-Fi Finghaz' HERE. TUNE - download HERE!
