Yuckmouth

Saw some rumours flying around about Odd Future wanting to draft in a young man by the name of Wes Blak - I did some research and found this, which is very Tyler-esque. You can understand why they would want to get him on board; he is the producer of this ridiculous beat and his lyrics are ever so sick. Watch this space.

Nobody Fault But Mine

Kobi Onyame is a Ghanaian/UK hip-hop producer/artist. His latest LP, Green Green Grasses, is set to be released April 11th on iTunes. Lyrically and style wise he brings something completely unique to the table and this track which features the beautiful Emeli Sande showcases everything that he’s about. The amazing album artwork is by legendary Edinburgh based graffiti artist Elf. If you like this, then go and support an incredibly talented independent artist on Monday.

Overstanding x Ocean Of Pain

Here are two new tracks taken from two different upcoming Cold Busted projects. First up is Overstanding by Brandon Bass that will feature on a 21 track LP called Stone Cold Busted 2, which is out June 22nd and includes lots of delicious stuff from pretty much every member of the CB team. Listen to what is said on this - it’s very interesting, and very true.

Next up is another exceptional piece of Trip-Hop, which is taken from Astro Raph’s upcoming EP, I Can Touch The Stars, which will be available on May 11th. This label never ceases to amaze me. Both of these releases are a must buy for me.

Everybody Loves Autumn

We’re in April, the sun is shining and Summer is well on its way, so I decided to do a mix that will lead us perfectly into the Summer months. These are the tracks that I have been listening to on repeat for the past few weeks and they have come together to make (what I believe to be) my best mix to date - soothing vocals and funky basslines left, right & centre. Download link is on the soundcloud player and the tracklist is after the jump. Feel free to spread the word and post wherever you like. There will be lots more mixes to come over Summer, I promise.

1. Domsko - Hard Yards (Feat. Astral T) (Original Vocal Mix)
2. Aki Bergan - Into My Soul (Feat. Carmen Sherry)
3. Larry Peters & Von Georgi - La Verdolaga (Original Mix)
4. DJ Fronter - Zalamero
5. Franco Cazzola - Screaming Handi
6. AndrewS - We Can Change Our Life (Original Mix)
7. Topspin & Dmit Kitz - Together
8. Mathias Mesteno - Buffalo Bounce
9. Surrealism - Heat (Vocal Mix)
10. Alex Gori & Imerio Vitti - Momo
11. Shed - Sharks (Tonbe And Vincent Inc Remix)
12. Adex - Stability
13. HiRO - Ruby Likes Dubstep (Kris Wadsworth Wierd Male Butts Remix)
14. Korablove - The 5.37 AM (Digital Bonus)

Garage Vol 1

The other day I brought you an old skool soulful house mix from Baller B, but now it’s time to bring it back to the present and give you something that was recorded earlier today. With help from Lucas The Beatbox on the tracklist again, this is a massive 22 minute mix of some classic garage anthems, which you probably haven’t heard for years. This is pretty much the set he played in Manchester at the afterparty, and it sounds as good now as it did then. You can listen HERE and hit the jump to find the tracklist and download. Benjamin has smashed it, again.

Wookie? - Down On Me
Wookie? - Battle (Feat. Lain)
Sia - Little man
Ramsey & Fen - Love Bug
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Ed Case/Sweetie Irie Refix)
Colour Girl - Joyrider (Y-Tribe Underground Remix)
Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate
The B15 Project, Crissy D & Lady G - Girls Like Us
Sweet Female Attitude - I’ll Bring You Flowers
DJ Dee Kline - I Don’t Smoke

UNI x Wayfaring Stranger

Ed Sheeran released a live 3 track EP called One Take this morning that was recorded at the Rocket Studios in the West End. Below you can hear a stunning new album track, UNI, and a mind blowing cover of Wayfaring Stranger, which uses the same arrangement as Jamie Woon’s cover. You can download both of them with You Need Me HERE and watch a video of him performing Wayfaring Stranger HERE. I feel so lucky to know this man - talented doesn’t even come close.

Raphael Saadiq x PinBoard

My boys over at PinBoard caught up with Raphael Saadiq the other day @ Red Bulls recording studio - he did an exceptional acoustic performance of Good Man, which is one of my favourite tracks of 2011. His new album, Stone Rollin’, was released the other week and if you haven’t got yourself a copy, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on. You can catch him over at Shepherds Bush Empire on the 28th April. Genius.
