Jack Ü – Take Ü There

Just days after the anouncement that the pair are to play Madison Square Gardens on NYE this year, Skrillex & Diplo have released their first track together as part of new collaborative project Jack Ü. Featuring British singer-songwriter Kiesza on vocals, the track is typically unsubtle with a big moombah inspired bassline designed to send the kind of stadium sized crowds the two EDM stars now attract into complete meltdown. Still, with these two invovled I wouldn't bet against this one making it as a monster hit.

Skrillex - Leaving

Yesterday saw Skrillex surprise fans with the release of the three track 'Leaving EP' via his label, OWSLA's, subscription service; The Nest. The title track 'Leaving' is my favourite of the 3 and something of a relevation as we see Skrillex depart from his Dubstep roots and puruse a more Future Garage-esque sound. Skrillex announced for Warehouse Project 2012

Over the past few years Dubstep has gone from an underground English movement, to a genre of music that features regularly in charts all around the world. One man who has been at the forefront of the rise in fame of Dubstep is Skrillex, who has today been announced as the headline act for an exclusive UK date at The Warehouse Project on Thursday 6th December. He is not on tour and wasn't scheduled to be landing in the UK at all this winter, but has decided to come and put the new venue through its paces, literally. He's going to be picking the rest of the line-up, which will be announced soon - for now, tickets go on sale 9am Friday morning.

Skrillex & Damian Marley - Make It Bun Dem (Brodinski x Alvin Risk Remixes)

Set to be released August 28th on OWSLA, here are my two favourite remixes from the remix EP for Skrillex & Damian Marley's huge collaborative single 'Make It Bun Dem'. Brodisnki takes the track down a Tech-House route, but it's Alvin Risk who stands out from the rest, with an outrageous Moombah-influenced bass heavy version that takes you on a 4 minute musical journey.
