Speaking of under-rated rappers, here is a new joint from Median, who has hooked up with his legendary mate 9th Wonder. This guy has been around for a LONG time now, featuring on albums from The Foreign Exchange, Little Brother and Jean Grae, but he's been quiet for a while and is back with a bang. So much love for this track - if anyone knows the sample, please let me know.

Example vs. Laidback Luke - Natural Disaster

Here is a radio rip (from a Spanish station) of the collaborative track from Example & Laidback Luke, which will feature on Example's new album, Playing In The Shadows. Not sure how it ended up getting its World exclusive in Spain, but it has. I've kind of lost touch with Laidback Luke's stuff over the past few years, but this is massive - the euphoric production works brilliantly with Example's ever unique vocals. Ed Sheeran - You Need Me, I Don't Need You

When Ed told me the concept for this video was Drop It Like It's Hot, but with a guy doing the whole track in sign language; I was obviously very excited to see the outcome. The outcome is incredible, and makes for one of the best videos from the past few years. You Need Me is out on August 28th and the album will be released on September 12th. Exciting times.

Kindred The Family Soul - Going To The Go-Go (Feat. Chuck Brown & DJ Kool)

Kindred The Family Soul are an R&B/Soul duo consisting of the married couple of Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon. They are signed to Hidden Beach Recordings and emerged from the Philadelphia Neo-Soul movement that also includes Jill Scott, who discovered them while the couple were performing at the Black Lily Film & Music Festival in 2001. Since then they have released three studio albums, and this track will feature on their fourth, Love Has No Recession, which is set to be released next week. A very cool album.

Jameil Aossey - Classy (Feat. Charles Lane)

My favourite track from Soul Unsigned's new compilation album, which is aimed at supporting and promoting unsigned and independant Soul artists. The compilation is amazing, but this track in particular is one of the smoothest joints I have heard for a very long time. You can hear and support the whole compilation HERE.

Birdy - The A-Team (Ed Sheeran Cover)

Earlier today 15 year old singer/songwriter Birdy visited the Maida Vale studios to perform a stunning live lounge session for Fearne Cotton. Whilst she was there she covered The A-Team by Ed Sheeran, which is currently at number 3 for the fifth week running. Nobody will ever be able to better the original, but this is a brilliant take from a girl who has a very bright future ahead of her.

Example - Stay Awake

Here are the official visuals for Example's new single, which were directed by Adam Powell and premiered on Channel 4 last night. So much love for this video - it portrays the message of the song perfectly and is probably the coolest video he's done to date. Out on 28th August - pre-order HERE.

Two of my favourite beats from The Lost Tapes, which is a 16 track selection from Häzel’s deep catalogue (which includes features from Drake & Slakah). One of the most incredibly talented producers I have ever heard - Dilla lives on through this guys music.
