Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Nero Remix)

Stunning remix from the Nero boys, who keep pushing the boundaries and taking Dubstep to new levels. Although I wasn't really feeling Awooga, Bounce has grown on me and this new single from Calvin is very catchy. Pretty sure he has another hit on his hands with this one.

City And Colour - Fragile Bird (The Sonixx Dubstep Remix)

The Sonixx's entry for the City And Colour remix competition that has been running over the past week or so. This is one of my favourite tracks from Dallas Green's third album as C&C; an album that hasn't left my iPod since I bought it - you should go and get that now if you haven't heard it. The Sonixx is a producer I've had my eye on recently and I've been very impressed with everything he's released - this is a monstrous remix that surely must be in contention for winning the competition.

Gramatik - Break Loose x Happiness On A Leash

So, after leaving Cold Busted and joining up with Pretty Lights, Gramatik is back with a new release entitled Beatz & Pieces Vol. 1. As Gramatik explains, "The Beatz & Pieces series comes as a successor to the popular Street Bangerz series which was my first work as a producer. I never really considered these volumes to be albums.  I always looked at them as hip-hop beats on steroids. They are still raw, sample based beats, but with evolved arrangements and wrapped in a fine layer of live instrumentation.  And the reason I started adding live instruments is because I felt that classic hip-hop beats without vocals lose me after two minutes.  I want to keep the listener through the whole track!". This guy is one of my favourite producers in the world, and I believe his sampling style is the most unique and refreshing around right now. He never fails me, and even though I was sad to see him leave CB, this is up to the high standard that I have come to expect from him over the past 3/4 years. Slovenian Hip-Hop beats are cool.

Takana Zion - My Music x Rise Up

Two of my fabourite tracks from Takana Zion's new album, Rasta Government. As with Veks, I'm not to sure about his back catalogue, but this is amazing. Has a real old skool Reggae feel to it, which is a type of music that never fails to put a smile on my face. Capleton features on the lead single, and you can watch the video HERE.

Veks - State Your Mind

Don't know much about this guy and wasn't really feeling him when I first heard his voice, but after listening to the album I was convinced into believing he is the real deal by the sick beats and even sicker deliverance of dope rhymes. He kind of reminds me a bit of Quasimoto - difficult to listen to at first, but if you give it a chance, then you can become hypnotised by the music. Have a listen to the track below and download the album for free HERE.

Professor Green - At Your Inconvenience

Here is the title track from Pro's sophomore album, At Your Inconvenience, which is set to be released in October. This is produced by MTA boys 16Bit, and is much more enjoyable than anything on his debut, Alive Till I'm Dead. I understand why he released that record, but I have a feeling that this is going to be on another level. Pre-Order HERE.

Kaskade & Adam K - Raining (Feat. SunSun) (Derek Sabiston Drumstep Remix)

A super sick Drumstep remix of Kaskade & Adam K's collaborative single, which was released at the back end of last year - great rework, that is perfect for Summer. Check out more of Derek's stuff HERE, and download this track HERE.

Down To The Bone - Second Nature (Feat. Imaani)

Here is my favourite track from Down To The Bone's new album, The Main Ingredients, which takes the band into double digit territory marking their 10th release and one that takes the band back to its original roots with 10 tracks still steeped in groove, but with a heavy dose of 21st century influence. Three tracks feature the superb vocals of Imaani, who has become well-known figure on the underground soul scene over the past decade, however the other seven are soul infused funk instrumentals that wouldn't sound out of place next to some of the all-time greats of the 70s. Must hear album that you can cop on Amazon NOW!

Oh My! - Kicking & Screaming (Mike Delinquent Remix)

Another new remix from Mike Delinquent, who is currently on a mission to make Garage fashionable again; I think it's safe to say he's succeeding at the minute. This time he has taken the new Oh My! single and put his ever unique twist on it - I love how these girls sound fresh on any beat/genre. Get your free download below.

COMPETITION: The House Of Coxhead Laptop Stickers

The other week I was trying to think of a way to say thank you to everyone who has supported my Blog over the past year or so, and thought the best way would be to run a little competition. I have had some customised laptop stickers made (they can be used for anything, but I think your laptop would be the most sensible/cool place to put them) for you to win. Was going to think of a music question for you to have a go at, but you could probably find the answer on Google, so I've gone for something that is all about luck.

To win, all you have to do is guess how many tea bags are in the box. Apparently there were 160 to start with, so it could be anything between 1-160 (yes, I took the time out to count them). You can tweet me your guess (@iamcoxhead), but I would prefer it if you could e-mail me with your guess, real name and twitter name (tjc89209@hotmail.co.uk) so I can keep a track of everyones answers. The competition will run till midnight on Sunday (17th July) when I will find the 5 closest guesses, announce the winner on here/Twitter and then send your stickers out on Monday morning. Good luck, and thank you for the continued support.

Tom x

P.S. I would love to get everyone a sticker, but it was £10 for 8 (if you want one that badly, I can order some more next week)
