Beverley Knight - Apparently Nothin' (Feat. Glen Scott & Roots Manuva)

One of my favourite tracks from Beverley Knight's highly anticipated new album, Soul UK, which goes on sale this Monday. This exceptional rework of the Young Disciples' 90s classic is just one example of what you can come to expect from the album - although it is a cover album, Beverley hasn't simply regurgitated 13 classic Soul tracks; she has taken them away, added her own bit of brilliance and put a completely new twist on every single one of them. Be sure to cop this on Monday, it is one of the most enjoyable cover albums you will ever listen to.

Mick Boogie & DJ Jazzy Jeff – Summertime 2 (Mixtape)

YES YES YES! Mick Boogie and Jazzy Jeff are back with a follow up to their critically acclaimed Summertime mixtape that went down a storm last year. Last year was special, but this is even better, in my opinion. Mick is a legend, but Jazzy is one of my favourite producers/DJs of all-time - everything about this is has classic vibes. Here is the monstrous Nero produced second single from Example's upcoming album, which was given its World Premier on Annie Mac's show earlier this evening - I was lucky enough to hear an early version of this towards the back end of last year, and haven't got the hook out of my head since. The single will be available on 28th August, and will feature on his third studio album, which is set to be released on 5th September. Whilst on the show he unveiled the tracklist for Playing In The Shadows (see below) and explained that it is now available to pre-order on the HMV website HERE. Artful - Could Just Be The Bassline (Feat. Kal Lavelle) (Club Mix)

Mark Hill has hooked up with Ridney to produce this laid back club mix for the first single from his upcoming album, which will be available later this year. Kal sounds amazing over this remix that has classic House vibes written all over it. Definitely one for Ibeeza.

Ed Sheeran - + (Album Cover)

Here is official artwork for Ed Sheeran's forthcoming debut album, +, which will be available on September 19th - the pastel drawing is by London based artist Phillip Butah. Ed showed me this when I was with him in Leeds, and he also showed me an alternative cover that was done for it, which is absolutely genius. Unfortunately, I don't think it will ever see the light of day.

Erik Rico & Marc Mac - Just Love x Häzel - This Is Dope (Feat. Ebrahim)

These two snippets are taken from the new Tokyo Dawn Records compilation, Volume 2, which is a musical homage to the iconic heart symbol which refers to the core of the human being, representing love and passion worldwide. I've been waiting to hear something from Mr. Rico since being introduced to his work by British rapper Ty (he reminds me of Stevie Wonder), and this excites me greatly for what he's going to bring to the table in 2011/2012. Häzel on the other hand is slowly becoming one of my favourite Hip-Hop producers in the world right now; he has such a unique sound and stuff like this is very reminiscent of the late Jay Dee.
